I have dabbled in computers ever since my first collegiate years at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, oh so many decades ago. Although I have taken courses in various computer programming languages, I never developed an expertise in this area, so it lies dormant in the recesses of my gray matter.

During the last few years I have practiced web design, taking classes from Pima Community College and using web resources such as Jennnifer Kyrnin at About.com and Daniel R. Sanderman's web site for inspiration and guidance. The basic plan I follow is to keep it simple, readable, and attractive. Web design is continuously undergoing changes. So it is important to ensure compatibility of the web page with popular browsers, both old and new. This page is written in HTML 5. The major drawback is that, so far, few browsers accept the new tags available in HTML 5, so viewer ship may be limited. Particularly, if you are an IE user. Fortunately, there are alternatives to solve this problem.
